The Market Goat Project continues to grow and expand. There was a show February 28, 2004 in Blythe.

In 2001-2002 was the 1st year that a Market Goat Project was established in our area by our club members.
This is the 1st show for the project and was held at Blythe, California at the annual lamb show put
on by Colorado River 4-H Club. Members for the 1st year were Ashley, Trenton, Bradley, Leslie and Shawna. At the fair in April 2002, Shawna was awarded the Grand Champion Market Goat and Leslie earned Reserve Champion Market Goat.
Most goat projects are dairy. This project is a meat project and the goats are breed to produce muscle.
Members expenses are housing, shelter from the weather, clippers, feed, blankets, brushes and feeders. The goats need fresh clean water daily and
enjoy lot's of attention.
